Today we are thrilled to celebrate Tubby Robot's 7th anniversary!

As has become tradition, both owners Steve and Chris will be running the shop this evening. We'll be serving up freshly-baked Ice Cream Hoagies, sharing stories, and plotting our direction for the NEXT seven years.

Thanks go out to everyone who has conquered a 4-scoop Belgian Waffle Sundae, brought friends by from out of town for an Ice Cream Flight, ordered a mini cup of Cinnamon Boast Bunch, or picked up half gallons for home during a blizzard. We wouldn't be able to do this without you, and we don't plan on stopping any time soon.

Yesterday we held the inaugural Super Smash Yunkers tournament at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center, and we had a GREAT time playing games with some fantastic people in the community. The vibes were high and the competitors were skilled, but in the end only three took home a trophy: Nickxmasters, PacBob, and our first champion, GScales.

Those trophies, by the way, were lovingly crafted by Sprocket Studios and we're only a little sad that we had to give them away.

We're ready! The inaugural Super Smash Yunkers is happening tomorrow, and we can't wait to have you all bring your fighting spirit.

All main stage competitor slots are fully booked, but we have plenty of room for spectators and there are even some rumors about side-room tournaments taking place throughout the afternoon. We're hoping to make this a fun event for gamers of every stripe, so feel free to bring your own consoles and play anything you like!

We've got big plans to go HARD in 2024, and as part of that initiative we're testing out expanded operating hours. Today is the first time we've ever been open on a Monday!

This is a testing phase, and we'll make adjustments based on demand. That's a polite way of saying: If you'd like us to keep the shop open on Mondays, stop by and buy some ice cream!

We love our customers, but sometimes we have trouble understanding them.

Over the years we've heard incomprehensible statements along the lines of "Wow, those scoops are big! I wish there was a smaller size". To our ears, it's complete gibberish that we literally cannot understand. We took recordings of these mysterious utterings to language specialists, and they told us that these people were, unbelievably, asking for less ice cream.

We don't get it, but we try our best to accommodate our patrons ( even the strange ones ), so we're now offering a "mini" size cup.

We hope that actions like these will move us all toward a closer mutual understanding.

Tubby Robot is partnering with Venice Island Performing Arts Center and PPR E-Sports to bring you Super Smash Yunkers, a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament right here in Manayunk!

This is your chance to meet and compete with local gamers on the biggest stage in the neighborhood. Spectators are welcome and encouraged, and there will also be open gaming stations for everyone to enjoy on the periphery.

A few months ago, we ended a long-term relationship with our waffle iron. We spent a lot of effort trying to repair the situation, but as time went on it became clear that we both needed a clean break.

For a long time, were weren't sure that we'd ever feel a spark like that again. Well, we'd like to introduce our NEW waffle iron. Now we can finally answer the question Cher famously posed in 1998:

Today is our last day of business in 2023, which means it's the last call for Pizzelle Cones!

We're in the thick of the holiday season and it's time to GET FESTIVE.
